Designed for layered protection

Layered perimeter protection is about detecting different stages of an attack.

The shock function helps identify impact or vibration on the protected surface. The contact function supports detection when the opening is moved. Together, they give the system more useful information from one location.

Practical for doors and windows

Impaq SC is a good fit for residential, retail and commercial installations where vulnerable doors and windows need closer protection.

It can be used where a standard contact would not give enough early warning, but a standalone shock detector would not provide opening detection. That makes it a tidy middle ground for many perimeter designs.

Setup that installers can tune

VIBER™ Accelerometer Technology, digital signal processing and 5 selectable sensitivity settings give installers control during commissioning.

That matters because the detector needs to work with the surface it is fitted to. Correct mounting and setup are still essential, especially when the device is being used to protect a vulnerable entry point.

When Impaq SC makes sense

Impaq SC is the right choice when a perimeter point needs both shock detection and contact detection.

If only shock detection is required, Impaq S may be enough. If the same combined approach is needed without running cable, Impaq SC-W is likely to be the better fit.
