Simple ceiling mounted PIR coverage

Capture CQ is the straightforward ceiling PIR in the Capture range.

It is useful where the installer wants a clean central mounting position and dependable 360 degree coverage, without moving into a more complex detector than the room needs.

Better fit for open layouts

Some rooms do not suit wall mounted detectors. Furniture, shelving, glass, door positions or customer expectations can all make a wall position less suitable.

CQ gives installers an alternative by placing the detector on the ceiling and covering movement around the protected area.

Quad PIR with optional Low Sensitivity mode

The quad element pyro supports stable PIR detection, while optional Low Sensitivity mode gives installers some extra control where the room needs a calmer detection setup.

As always, the detector still needs to be positioned with the coverage pattern in mind. Ceiling mount does not mean careless mount.

When Capture CQ makes sense

Capture CQ is the right choice when the site needs a wired ceiling mount PIR detector with 360 degree coverage.

If the area is more demanding, Capture CD may be the better option. If cabling the ceiling position is difficult, Capture CQ-W provides wireless placement flexibility. If Grade 3 is required, Capture CA should be considered.
