Dual technology where cable is the problem

Capture D20-W is for spaces where the environment calls for dual technology detection, but the building makes cabling awkward. That is common on retrofits. The area that needs the better detector is often the same area where cable access is worst. D20-W helps installers specify the right detector without letting the cable route drive the design.

Useful for extensions and finished interiors

D20-W is useful in finished properties, upgraded commercial spaces, extensions and mixed-use areas where disturbance needs to be kept low. It allows the installer to improve detection stability without surface wiring or disruptive works that the customer may not accept.

Still needs proper commissioning

Wireless dual technology gives flexibility, but it is not a shortcut. The detector still needs to be positioned and commissioned correctly. Microwave range, PIR coverage, possible heat sources and movement patterns all need to be considered if the system is going to behave properly after handover.

When Capture D20-W makes sense

Capture D20-W is the right choice when the site needs wireless dual technology detection in a challenging area. If the room is predictable, Capture P15-W or Q20-W may be enough. If cabling is practical, wired Capture D20 is the cleaner option. If Grade 3 is needed, look at the appropriate Grade 3 wired options.
