Odyssey XBD
Odyssey X-BD is an imitation Odyssey X sounder with backlight and comfort LED support.
It is designed for sites where visible deterrence and a consistent external finish are required, but active sounder electronics are not needed at that position. It mimics Odyssey X wired and wireless sounders, accepts X1 and X3 covers and supports a 12V wired input for backlight and comfort LEDs.
Use it when the site needs external presence without specifying another active sounder.

Odyssey XBD
Visible deterrence without active sounder electronics
Not every external box needs to be active.
Odyssey X-BD gives the site a consistent Odyssey X appearance while keeping the position as a deterrent unit. It is useful on larger properties, multi-elevation sites and installs where the visual presence needs to continue around the building.
Backlight and comfort LED support
The 12V wired input supports backlight and comfort LEDs.
That makes X-BD useful where the dummy unit still needs to look live and consistent with active Odyssey X sounders on the same site.
Consistent cover system
Odyssey X-BD accepts X1 and X3 covers.
That means active and imitation positions can share the same cover style, lens choice and branding approach. The outside of the system stays consistent.
When Odyssey X-BD makes sense
Use Odyssey X-BD when the site needs an imitation sounder with backlight or comfort LED support.
If no electronics are needed at all, Odyssey X-D is the simpler dummy option.
