Ceiling detection for awkward layouts

Capture CD is useful when a wall detector is not the best answer.

In open rooms, reception areas, shared spaces and locations with furniture or shelving, a ceiling position can sometimes provide cleaner coverage and a better finish. CD gives installers a Grade 2 ceiling option for those spaces.

360 degree coverage with control

The 8m by 360 degree pattern allows the detector to monitor movement around its ceiling position.

That makes it useful in areas where people may enter from more than one direction. It is also helpful where the detector needs to sit centrally rather than being aimed from a wall.

Mode choice for site conditions

Low Sensitivity, Dual Tech and CloakWise modes give installers flexibility during commissioning.

That matters because ceiling mounted detectors are often used in spaces with varied movement patterns. Choosing the correct mode helps match the detector to the room rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all setup.

When Capture CD makes sense

Capture CD is the right choice when the site needs Grade 2 ceiling mount detection with a more flexible detection setup.

If the site needs a standard ceiling PIR, Capture CQ may be enough. If the ceiling position needs wireless flexibility, Capture CD-W is the wireless option. If Grade 3 is required, Capture CA should be considered.
