Wireless ceiling detection without the cable fight

Capture CD-W is useful when the best detector position is on the ceiling, but the cable route is the problem.

That is common in finished interiors, extensions, retail areas and commercial spaces where disruption needs to stay low. The wireless design lets installers choose the better detection position rather than settling for the easiest cable route.

A good fit for retrofits and takeovers

Retrofit jobs often involve compromises. Capture CD-W helps reduce one of the biggest ones: detector placement.

It gives installers a ceiling mount option for open areas, shared spaces and awkward layouts where a wall detector would not provide the same quality of coverage.

Detection modes for real rooms

Low Sensitivity, Dual Tech and CloakWise modes help the detector adapt to different site conditions.

This is useful in ceiling applications because room use, airflow, lighting and movement patterns can vary. Correct setup is still essential, but the detector gives installers useful options during commissioning.

When Capture CD-W makes sense

Capture CD-W is the right choice when the site needs wireless ceiling mounted Grade 2 detection.

If the ceiling position can be wired cleanly, Capture CD may be the better option. If a standard ceiling PIR is enough, Capture CQ or CQ-W may be more suitable depending on wiring access.
