Odyssey XW
Odyssey X-W is a wireless Odyssey X external sounder using Ricochet mesh technology.
It is built for installations where external sounder placement is needed, but running cable to the outside wall would add disruption, cost or compromise. With a 105dB piezo sounder, wall and cover tamper, selectable comfort LEDs and 8 AA lithium batteries supplied, it gives installers a wireless route for Odyssey X external signalling.
Use it for upgrades, takeovers and finished properties where a wired external sounder is not the right answer.

Odyssey XW
Wireless external signalling
Odyssey X-W is for real buildings where the cable route is the problem.
On takeovers, finished homes, commercial upgrades and properties with difficult access, running a new cable to the external wall can create unnecessary work. Odyssey X-W gives installers a wireless option that still sits within the Odyssey X range.
Ricochet mesh technology
Ricochet mesh technology supports wireless communication in compatible systems.
That gives installers more placement freedom, but it does not remove the need for wireless checks. Signal strength, location and final testing still matter.
Clean finish on finished sites
Wireless sounders are often specified because the building is already complete.
Odyssey X-W helps installers avoid surface cabling and unnecessary disruption while still providing external audible signalling, tamper protection and visible comfort LEDs.
When Odyssey X-W makes sense
Use Odyssey X-W when the site needs a wireless external sounder.
If a wired Grade 3 sounder can be fitted cleanly, Odyssey X or Odyssey X-B may be better. If the requirement is visible deterrence only, use Odyssey X-D or X-BD.
